garbed in colourfully embroidered Pherons. The melodious notes of Santoor echo the alleys of memory and remind the people of the magic words of poets like Kalhan and Lal Ded. Shalimar and Nishat gardens are imprinted on the imagination of the generations who were taught the lesson of Kashmir and grew up with the dream of
spending some time in this heavenly abode of which it was so aptly said by the poet, “If there is heaven on this earth, it is here, it is here, it is here
